Alex WeidenheftHead Coach

Growing up as an athlete, Alex always had a love for all sports. Starting at an early age, she grew up playing soccer in her hometown of Houston and continued to play while in school on the UT Women’s Club Soccer team. She loves rooting for the Houston Texans and the Texas Longhorns every year.

While earning her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Texas, she gained experience in personal training and realized her love for helping people reach their fitness goals. While in school, Alex worked as an intern at the Fitness Institute of Texas performing medical fitness testing and assisting with Get Fit, an exercise program for UT staff and faculty. She also worked as an intern at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital in the Cardiac Rehab department educating those who have survived cardiac events on how exercise can improve their quality of life. In the end, she discovered her passion for athletic development and decided to pursue opportunities in coaching and youth training.

Alex enjoys encouraging others to live well and stay active and looks forward to bringing her knowledge and love of fitness to MAD!
