A native Texan from Dallas, Caleb Newton has always enjoyed an active and healthy lifestyle. Caleb’s father was a former collegiate rower and his mother was a former fitness instructor who always encouraged an active lifestyle. Growing up his love for activity came from a love for the outdoors as he grew up in Washington State next to the Olympic Mountain range and in North Carolina where he would often camp, hike, kayak, and canoe in the Blue Ridge Mountains. He was also involved in sports from a young age, growing playing basketball, football, and triple jumping on the track and field team. He decided to continue his love for health and wellness at the University of Texas at Austin where he studies Health Promotion with a minor in Strength and Conditioning coaching. While at UT he was able to put his coaching skills and knowledge to work while being a teaching assistant for weight training and swimming courses. He continues his active lifestyle through rock climbing, rowing, and Olympic lifting while continuing his love for coaching at MAD!
